Project Management

We assign each translation project to a unique project manager who, acting as a link between our production team and the client, is responsible for:

• The analysis, evaluation and preparation of pre-translation source files.
• The creation and preparation of style guides, translation memories, terminology databases, glossaries, etc.
• Project planning.
• The evaluation and selection of the appropriate translators.
• The monitoring of translation project targets and completion deadlines.
• The revision, formatting and preparation of post-translation target files.

As the person directly responsible for the successful management of the translation project, our project managers are directly available for consultation at any stage during the translation process.

Translation Resources

Dixon Servicios Lingüísticos, SL, employs the most up-to-date translation software in order to reduce translation costs and optimise final translation quality. Our web-based translation project management application allows us to individually identify all the resources involved in each translation project and to monitor each task during each stage of the translation process. Additionally, we employ the very latest industry standard computer-aided translation (CAT) tools -including translation memories, electronic glossaries and terminology databases- in all our translation projects, enabling us to maintain complete control over document formats and client-specific terminology, as well as providing considerable savings through the identification and re-use of pre-translated content. Working under the supervision of our translation project managers, our in-house team of English (British and North American), Spanish (Spanish and Latin American), French and German translators is complemented by an extensive range of external collaborators who, skilled in the use of our translation process tools and protocols, provide us with the flexibility required to cater for even the largest workloads and the tightest deadlines.
