The Translation Process: The Generation of Content

In the vast majority of cases, content, which in the context of the translation process is to be understood as text, is created with a text processing program, for example, Microsoft Word. It is highly unusual, on the other hand, for original text content to be generated within a DTP program or a database application, for example.

Although you may not initially have access to the original version of the content you wish to translate in text format, we strongly recommend investing the time necessary in order to find out whether a copy of the original version can be located.
